Be prepared to be inundated with beautiful imperfect gemstones – all types. We will explore the majesty and mystery of actual gemstones with often stunning imperfections!

Short of x-rays, we will use equipment (most of it rather elementary) to examine the gemstones and evaluate quality of use, as well as value in the marketplace which can be enhanced by use in a piece of jewelry that brings to life the beauty of the imperfections.

We will examine these gemstones in jewelry and learn about decisions on how to use them to best advantage.

And each participant will be allowed to bring one item of gemstone interest to be examined, and evaluated. Please submit a photo of your piece to this email address: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

A lot to pack in 3 hours – hope to see you there.
