Pearls: Myths and Magnificence

Pearl Jewelry

Before Diamonds, before Rubies, even before Gold, what has held the world captive was a humble organic concretion – namely (and by the Romans) Pearl. A universal constant, Pearls are considered to hold the record for owning the most myths of any gem material. An enigmatic gem, it needs no human interference to reveal its silken beauty – it simply is. Let’s dive into the world of pearls, and submerse ourselves in its beautiful simplicity while we examine its humble origin, initial discovery, and rise to become arguably the most highly desired gem. It has not always been a steady rise and Pearls have had their share of hard times, and have even experienced stiff competition, but Pearls always triumph. Come and join us and let’s look at Pearl’s remarkable ability to continually captivate and astound, even as each new generation discovers them with fresh eyes.
